The job duties of an accounting analyst include creating and monitoring accruals and posting journal entries, perform asset, ledger, inventory reserve accounting for manufacturing sites, conducting accounting close duties, coordinating reconciliation of sub-ledger accounts, supporting offshore associates, ensuring deadline are met on time, document workflow, procedures and policies for the assigned task and confirm internal policies and procedures.

Accounting Analyst Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist in gathering information and writing disclosures including financial statement and footnotes
  • Research new and proposed accounting standards and assist in determining how the company will account for and disclose these standards
  • Research accounting issues on proposed deals and other transaction throughout the company and assist in guiding the proper accounting treatment
  • Review subsidiary financial statement ensuring consistency with consolidated disclosures
  • Interact with senior financial management at the division and corporate office as well as non-financial executives in other departments
  • Interact with external auditors during the year-end audit and quarterly reviews
  • Process invoice, account payable, payroll and receivable
  • Process bank reconciliation and journal entries
  • Prepare, examine and analyze accounting records, financial statement or other financial reports

Accounting Analyst Skills and Qualification:

  • Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or related field
