A case aide provides client services including support for families and they work in a wide variety of sectors like rehabilitation and psychology. They guide social workers by helping clients finding benefits. The job duties of a case aide include determining what type of assistance client need, work with the client and other professionals to develop a treatment plan, assisting clients to perform daily activities researching services and medical aide that are available for communities, coordinating services provided to clients, assisting clients to perform paperwork to apply for the assistance program, and transporting clients to the service center. A case aide works under the supervision of social workers and psychologists.

Case Aide Job Summary:

We are looking to hire a case aide for our residential treatment program. We provide treatment to women and children with substance use disorder. The candidate needs to have completed graduation and must have one year of experience working in residential direct care. They need to assist case managers with day to day social services tasks. They work with other staff to ensure that our clients are prepared for permanent housing developing rapport with the clients streamlining intake procedures, scheduling case management, helping clients to build personnel social and economic safety nets. The job responsibilities of a case aide include conducting initial intake and complete intake packet for all new clients, assist with updating client demographic and other data in a database, assist care managers scheduling client physical and psychiatric appointments, escort clients to housing interviews community resource meeting and appointment when needed.

Case Aide Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Create client files and paperwork packets to be used for client meetings
  • Direct paperwork to client files and archive files according to predetermined storage procedure
  • Arrange meetings or provide other-directed support to the assigned case manager
  • Contact appropriate personnel at a county or health plan to support billing, record management or processes as directed
  • Remain up to date on applicable document change
  • Complete accurate and timely coding of medical diagnoses according to current medicare billing and coding regulations
  • Support creation and maintenance of client information in the access database and record on SharePoint site
  • Assisting families with goal setting, planning and other activities related to the home management task

Case Aide Skills and Qualification:

  • Minimum qualification of high school or equivalent
  • Must possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar field
  • An acceptable 5-year driving record
  • He must be 21 years or older
  • Strong desire to work with children and families
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Flexibility and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Knowledge of new york city child welfare system is a plus
