Company Driver Responsibilities and Duties:
- A company driver may require to steer a truck, car or van and duties depend on the type of organization he is working for
- If the driver is responsible to provide the personal driving task to an executive, he will be asked to drive a car.
- For a delivery job, the company driver has to steer trucks or van
- Ensure vehicles are maintained properly on a daily basis
- Awareness of handling minor repairs
- Must be knowledgeable about various routes within the city and how to reach the destination in the most effective way
- Assisting in loading and unloading packages from the truck
- Cleaning car seats, rugs, dashboard daily and checking vehicle’s fluid, tire, mirror, brakes, and engine to ensure the vehicle is in superb condition
- Make use of Google map and GPS to reach the destination on time
- Neatly dressed up and behaving politely to the company staff, clients and customers
- Taking the vehicle to maintenance as per company instruction
- Providing customers receipt post-delivery and taking signature
- Driving the vehicle back to the company by strictly following the company rules
Company Driver Skills and Qualification:
- Must possess a commercial driving license
- Must have a clean driving record
- More than 2 years of driving experience is required
- No accident reports in the last 5 years
- Require high school diploma/GED
- Must be 21 years of age
- Not more than 3 moving violation including drugs or alcohol in the last 36 months
- Working knowledge of the local route
- Able to use the map, GPS system, and car manual
- Punctual, reliable and must have strong communication skill
