Introduction:

A delivery truck driver steers a heavy truck or a van and their duty involves loading and unloading merchandise and delivering packages to the customer in a safe and secure manner. The drivers can also drive a UPS truck or a FedEx truck. The driver daily task involves loading packages against the shipping order and timely delivering the stocks to the customer on daily basis. They are responsible to keep the vehicle well cleaned and maintained also should be able to perform minor repairs. The truck driver should drive vehicle safely obeying company policies and rules so that all the packages can be delivered in good condition. The driver must be physically fit to lift heavy objects and they must know how to use certain equipment used to lift bulky products. They should work under a time-pressured schedule.

There is an immediate opening for delivery truck drivers who are experienced to operate a heavy truck, load and unload packages to the customer. The driver should have a friendly attitude and should build a relationship with each customer. The applicant must hold a valid driving license and authorized to work in the US. The driver must be ready to work on a different shift and occasionally during weekends. Few other duties of the delivery truck driver include reviewing the order before and after delivery, ensuring orders are complete and charges are correct, accepting payment for the delivered packages, providing excellent customer care and handling complaints, preparing record and documents related to deliveries, following time schedule and maintaining a safe driving record.

Delivery Truck Driver Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Mastered and expertise operating your assigned delivery vehicle
  • Transport goods and packages from one destination to assigned location

Delivery Truck Driver Skills and Qualification:
