We are looking to hire a clinically certified healthcare assistant who is a multi-skilled professional and works under the direction and supervision of a licensed provider. The certified healthcare assistant should be trained to perform both administrative and clinical skills in the physician’s practices. They may not make any independent decisions regarding any patient care within the practice. They are responsible for treating a wide variety of patients from basic ailments to the most complex traumas. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, the healthcare assistant performs delegated functions as a member of a patient care team to provide a variety of services. These activities contribute to meeting the health care, safety, and comfort need of patients and perform according to all existing regulatory and hospital standards, policies, and procedures. They must ensure the highest quality of patient care and you will assist staff nurses in providing comprehensive attention to patients and families while working in an environment that commands clinical excellence every day.
Healthcare Assistant Responsibilities and Duties:
- Cleaning and sterilizing the equipment and working area
- Administer medications, immunization, and other patient services under the direction and supervision of a physician. Assist in minor surgical procedures
- Assist with the education of patient as directed by the physician
- Contact patients as needed to give testing results instruction from the physician and schedule necessary visits.
- Answer phone calls and perform various lab function as needed

Healthcare Assistant Skills and Qualification:
- High school, diploma or GED
- Previous patient care experience as designated by work area
- Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar field

- Punctual, reliable and must have strong communication skill
- Strong verbal and oral communication skills
