The professional needs to perform various duties like observing computer network for security issues, exploring security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents, install security measures and operate software to protect system and information, record security breaches and assess the damage, work with the security team to perform tests, secure detected vulnerabilities to maintain the high-security standard, stay updated on IT security trends and develop company best practices for IT security.

Information Security Analyst Job Summary:

We are looking to hire a successful candidate who can support a client’s operation. He will be responsible for the day to day security threat monitoring and analyses. You will work on threat intelligence, forensic and incident response that adhere to best practices and recognize control framework. The job duties include operating in command line environment, monitor research investigates and analyzes security threats and trends to verify the effectiveness of protective measures, identify and analyze the activity in system logs, perform perioding penetration testing and risk analysis of services, sites, and infrastructure, assist with development periodic review and compliance of cybersecurity policies procedures and standard, work in a cross-functional capacity with procurement, IT system and network, customer service, MIS and other teams to assist with the security analysis of potential vendor and products.

Information Security Analyst Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Able to follow process documentation and use analytical skills to interpret varied events and situations
  • Able to generate comprehensive written reports and recommendation
  • Perform vulnerability assessment on the network, workstation, server, application, and other IT assets
  • Identify the network deviate from acceptable configuration and enclave policy
  • Identify gaps in the vulnerability assessment process and provide recommendation for improvement
  • Provide support and training for vulnerability tools and work with vendors to find a resolution for identified issues
  • Stay updated of new trends and innovations within the information system and cybersecurity committees
  • Verify remediation of identified issues using automated tools and manual techniques
  • Create and maintain IT process documentation configuration and update when necessary

Information Security Analyst Skills and Qualification:

  • Bachelor degree in Information Technology
  • Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience as a dedicated security engineer or network engineer with security responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of Linux, JunOS, and Cisco IOS
  • Expertise handling various operating system
  • Versed in hacking and exploitation techniques including mitigation
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of firewall concepts
  • Punctual, reliable and must have strong communication skill
