Library aides are paraprofessionals and they perform clerical tasks in libraries. They usually supervise librarians and help them select books and materials, check-in and out materials at the circulation desk, receive payment for fines, shelve books, and help to process new material. Library assistant needs to perform a certain task that includes charge and renew materials, assist the patron in locating material, answer phones and take messages, greet and direct customers, and maintain the record. Library Aide Responsibilities and Duties:
- Using multiple integrated library systems to check material in and out

Library Aide Skills and Qualification:
- Bachelor degree in education or librarian
- Must possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in a library
