Linux System Administrator Job Summary:

We are looking to hire a successful candidate who has a degree in IT or STEM or a related field.  Working with our dynamic operation team which includes technical engineer, DevOps engineer, development team, and technical leadership, the Linux system administrator will support the existing window-based COTS applications and ultimately need to be comfortable handling the Linux platform environment. The position will focus on managing all system administration duties including troubleshooting and resolving issues at the operating system or the server level. Tour responsibilities include performance monitoring analysis, application-level upgrades and patching, database server patching, database index maintenance and backups, operating system configuration, upgrades and patching, STIG installation and verification, incident identification, root cause analysis, and resolution, recommended and implementation of new improved processes and procedures for system administration and maintenance.
