Maintenance engineers are responsible for regular running of equipment and machinery. With the use of computerized system, they need to perform routine maintenance and organize repairs. They need to control and monitor devices and occasionally in the manufacture of items that will help in maintenance. They will be working in plant, factory or site. The work involves extended period working on factory floors and meet deadlines in response to breakdown emergencies. The job duties includes design maintenance strategies, procedures and methods, carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults, diagnose breakdown problems, carry out quality inspections on job, monitor and control maintenance costs, deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs, improve health and safety policies and procedures, write maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines, work with specialists equipment such as programmable logic controllers which control machinery on factory assembly lines.

Maintenance Engineer Job Summary:

We are looking to hire a successful candidate who has a degree in manufacturing engineering, production engineering. The maintenance engineer reports to the group leader and is responsible for projects and actions which improve process and reduce machine downtime, along with providing training and support to the maintenance and production teams. Additional requirement are troubleshooting and repair of all plant mechanical, electrical, controls and automotion systems. Some job duties includes source and procure parts utilizing SAP, coordinate contract work utilizing outside vendors, coordinate maintenance shutdown activities as assigned, provide operating training to all operations personnel to reduce process interruption, troubleshoot and repair complex industrial equipment, operate electrical hand tools and measuring devices, work from blueprint, drawings and sketches, develop root cause analysis report work instructions and training material.

Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities and Duties:
