Network Engineer Job Summary:
We are looking to hire a successful candidate who has a degree in computer science or information technology field. The network engineer in the infrastructure team are responsible for designing, implementing and supporting the WAN, LAN and all connectivity of trading venues. They will be working with our system engineers other teams and external parties to provide best in class infrastructure solution supporting our trading business. The job duties includes design, implement and support the networking infrastructure, monitor guard and analyses the proper functioning of our network infrastructure, take adaptive retentive and corrective measures and perform structural maintenance, proactively improve our infrastructure by contributing scripts and code to our automation efforts.
Network Engineer Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimization
- Undertake data network fault investigation in local and wide area environments using information from multiple sources
- Secure network system by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and monitoring access
- Support and administer firewall environments in line with IT security policy
