As the task remains hard and an office driver needs to have good knowledge about various routes and highways to reach destination fast. Those who enjoy working outdoors, this profession remains just perfect for them. Drivers must possess the ability to use standard maps and GPS so that they can chart a safe route to reach the destination. Apart from this, you need to be physically fit, as the job demands for driving long routes and may require working on holidays and weekends. Drivers may need to transfer products, materials, and equipment to various locations. It is their duty to keep the company vehicle clean and properly maintained.

Office Driver Job Summary:

We are looking to hire a company driver who can assist in all company-related duties. The position involves timely pick up of clients and staff from the office and drop them at the airport, train station, hotel and home. Candidates may require to load and deliver shipments following the policies and procedures required by the company. Drivers must have excellent customer contact and driving skills. He should be able to operate various vehicles and lift other material handling the equipment. Drivers will be intimated for task as-needed basis, must be ready to work on various shifts. Candidates will be offered various benefit package like paid vacation, medical, dental vision, and insurance coverage for employees and family. The driver will be responsible to keep the company vehicle clean and well maintained. He should maintain a travel log to record working hours and travel time.

Office Driver Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Securely transporting staff and various goods to and from a specified location in a timely manner
  • Assisting in loading and unloading company products and luggage into the vehicle
  • Perform inspection on all assigned vehicles before each shift
  • Obtaining order transporting staff and material to different locations and ensure all task are carried out flawlessly
  •  Adjusting travel routes to avoid congestion and traffic issues
  • Keeping the interior and exterior of the vehicle clean and properly maintained
  • Ensuring the vehicle is parked in the area that permits parking
  • Reporting injuries, accidents and vehicle damage to the management
  • Assisting passengers to and from the vehicle
  • Receiving documents for transport and ensuring they are conveyed securely to the location

Office Driver Skills and Qualification:

  • More than 2 years of experience handling all type of vehicle
  • Valid driver’s license and must have a clean driving record
  • Great knowledge about road safety regulation
  • Able to use navigation system, GPS and car manuals
  • Require high school diploma/GED
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Physically fit enough to drive for long hours
  • Great time management skill and communication skill
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Should be neatly dressed up in uniform
