Payroll Accountant Job Summary:

We are looking to hire a skilled and responsible payroll accountant who can maintain the payroll system on automated accounting software. You will be in charge of the processing of payroll for the organization and all related benefits. The payroll accountant responsibilities include acting an as a payroll accountant and performing all related task associated with the processing of payroll including providing sick leave and vacation usage report, reconcile dental billings and related liability account, provide payroll breakdown for monthly department billings, assist in annual audit and annual pension audit, coordinate with human resource department to resolve payroll issues, track and maintain organization program, maintain participant files, loan deduction, and payment, coordinate contribution payment process with account payable, responsible for manual bank deposits for all entities, assist with annual audit preparation, prepare the various schedule for audit purposes, coordinate with the controller to develop and update procedures and system.

Payroll Accountant Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Oversee employee paycheck and calculate net salaries considering deduction and withholdings
  • Make sure the payroll and tax documents are accurate and update general ledger and payroll files
  • Prepare accounting files, records, and schedules
  • Monitor pair, unpaid leaves, and process overtime earnings
  • Resolve payroll problems and participate in payroll audits
  • Answer to employee question concerning payroll
  • Perform payroll entries and maintain payroll files for the company employees
  • Assist in payroll calculation, deduction, and changes
  • Process timesheet, PTO, leave for the absence of employees
  • Calculate tax based on IRS regulations
  • Address to the payroll inquiries from employees promptly
  • Analyze payroll issues and provide apt action plans
  • Generate periodic payroll reports to the manager for review

Payroll Accountant Skills and Qualification:

  • Bachelor degree in accounting or finance
  • Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Punctual, reliable and must have strong communication skill
  • Exceptional knowledge about MS office and excel
  • Understanding local and government rules about the payroll
  • Great computational ability and attention to details
  • Understanding basic intercompany and multi-entity consolidation principles
  • Meet established reporting deadlines with a sense of urgency for all assignment
  • Professional written and communication skills and full command of English
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity, accountability, and ownership
  • Able to work under tight deadlines and meet deliverable and minimum supervision
