Purchasing executives are responsible for buying materials, goods, and services on behalf of the employer to be used in daily operation. They maintain stock levels conduct research, negotiate with vendors and interview prospective suppliers. Purchasing executives are responsible for researching potential vendors, comparing and evaluating offers from suppliers, negotiating the contract term of agreement and pricing.
