Rehab Aide Job Summary:
We are looking to hire a successful candidate who has a degree and able to provide exceptional, progressive, and cost-effective rehabilitation services through personalized care that emphasizes education and prevention of future injury. The aide needs to assist the office coordinator and clinician by performing administrative and clerical duties. The duties will be conducted in compliance with the state practice act requirement. The essential duties to be performed include preparing patients for treatment, assist during the administration of treatment and provide routine treatment, clean work area, and equipment after treatment, provide routine treatment such as hot/cold packs, and other modalities such as ultrasound electrical stimulation, etc, safeguard motivate assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities under the direction of professional staff.
Rehab Aide Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide supportive and ancillary services to the professional staff of the department of physical medicine and rehabilitation
- Preparing and cleaning whirlpools and attend patient while in the whirlpool
- Assist patient in donning and doffing of prosthetic or orthotic device
- Assist patient in dressing and undressing in preparation of treatment
- Assist the therapists in setting up the patient on all therapeutic equipment
- Maintain linen and other supplies at all times at disposal of professional staff
- Prepare cold and hot pack for use by the therapists
- Adjusts non-modality equipment for patient use
- Assists therapists in training patients and able to provide support to patients while transferring low patients to the floor in case of the total loss of balance
- Identify the need of patients to modify and deliver care that is specific to those needs
- Performs daily scheduling and completes daily assignment sheet
Rehab Aide Skills and Qualification:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
- Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar field
- Ability to take directions
- License and certification required
- Demonstrate interest in the rehabilitation field
