The staff accountant duties include preparing year-end and monthly closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. The candidate needs to spend a fair amount of time dedicated to producing a financial statement, cash flow projections, and budgets. During the monthly closure, you will be in charge of many aspects of internal reporting. Additionally, you will take part in compliances, communicate with external auditors for quarterly review and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting process. You need to report a wide variety of financial data and communicate reasonably.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Preparing internal and external financial statement by gathering information from the general ledger system
  • Maintaining and balancing an automated consolidated system by giving data
  • Analyzing information and developing spreadsheet reports
  • Preparing ledger entries by maintaining records and files
  • Preparing payment by accruing expense

Staff Accountant Skills and Qualification:

  • Bachelor degree in accounting or finance
  • Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience
  • Punctual, reliable and must have strong communication skill
  • Minimum of passing the CPA exam
  • Proficient in excel spreadsheet and other software applications
  • Knowledge about using accounting principles and procedures
  • Strong system orientation including MS office
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
