A document controller is responsible for managing and preparing various documents in the most efficient and accurate manner. Their primary duty remains typing contracts, archiving files, checking accuracy and editing files. They perform sorting, filing, storing and retrieving both electronic and hard copy documents by technical team or departments. The duty and responsibility of a document controller include creating templates, copy storing and scanning documents, managing request for documentation, filing documents as a digital record, reviewing and maintaining the accuracy of the record, distribute project related information with different level of the project team, prepared reports on projects and maintain confidentiality around sensitive documents. The person should have proven experience as a document controller and should be familiar with project management. Hands-on experience with MS Office and MS Excel would be an added advantage should have knowledge in EDMS.
