The job duties of a policy advisor include working\nwith the team to identify and develop key policy areas, assembling,\ninterpreting and analyzing information, briefing partners and other external organizations,\nproviding regular updates, working effectively with other stakeholders. Policy advisors\nusually work with senior officers and chief executives on specific projects\nsupporting policy managers to establish relationships with corporate teams. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are looking to hire a successful\ncandidate who has a bachelor’s degree in arts or related field. This\nprofessional-level position is responsible for contributing to the development\nand implementation of a strategic plan with an emphasis on federal lands\nmanagement policy and planning. The position requires legal and policy\nknowledge and experience handling federal land management policy and planning,\nenvironmental and administrative law and procedures, and landscape-level\nplanning. The job duties of a policy advisor include planning and prioritizing\npolicy for MEPD and CCSE, develop and oversee the development of policy option,\nprovide guidance, direction and technical assistance to staff on the team,\nprepare high-quality briefing documents, issue papers, correspondence, bill\nanalyses and memorandum for senior and executive management. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
