A healthcare system cannot function without hiring a lab assistant. Both patients and doctors depend on lab test results to safely diagnose the disease and make a necessary treatment decision. The medical lab assistant is responsible for collecting blood, tissue, and urine sample from the patient and performing routine tests, set up, clean, sterilize the lab, and its equipment. The job duties of a lab assistant include checking samples to make sure they are in proper container, conducting routine test and sample analyses, matching patient information, entering data to the system, collecting, labeling, and delivering specimen, operating and maintain lab equipment’s and performing routine lab equipment maintenance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
