A database developer is also known as a database programmer and they are responsible for creating and implementing computer databases. They employ a corporate IT department and they must test database programs for efficiency and performance and troubleshoot and correct issues. The primary duty of a database developer is to analyze the data need of a company and produce an effective database system to meet those needs. This requires knowledge of database administration software, programming languages, architecture, data models, and data integrity practices. They must be able to run performance testing procedures to ensure the proper operation of a database. They must create documentation of the database system and provide operational manual and supporting documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
