System engineers are responsible for managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure. They should configure test and maintain the operating system, application software, and system management tools. They need to endure a high level of system and infrastructure availability. The job duties of a system engineer include monitoring and testing application performance for potential need, identify possible solutions and work with developers to implement those fixes, maintain security backup and set strategies, write and maintain custom script to increase system efficiency and less down human intervention time on any job, participate in design and information and operational support system, provide various level of support, liaise with vendors and other IT personnel from problem resolution.
