They provide physical and emotional support to such patients. The daily task of a support worker differs and they mainly depend on those persons they are supporting. They help people to carry out their daily tasks, teach new skills, provide emotional support and ensure they are living a fulfilled life. Support workers offer services to various patients like learning disabilities, autism, physical disability, brain injury, and mental health needs. They may work in a variety of settings like home, healthcare centers, and social care centers. The support worker is a rewarding job and the role can be hard as well as challenging. The support worker will require to meet clients to assess their practical and emotional needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are looking to hire a successful candidate who has a high school diploma or GED and experience working as a support worker. Support worker requirements include Background working with at-risk youths or those with behavioral or emotional disorders desirable, 1 year of experience working with youths in a treatment, residential, or group home setting is a plus, Unparalleled communication rapport and compassion, must be available to work weekends, minimum age of 21 years, valid driver’s license, and must be willing to submit to background checks and drug screen. Under direction, performs work involving the assessment, service planning, and implementation of the service plan for assigned individuals. Performs other duties as required. Provide services using a trauma-informed and person and\/or family-centered model. Work collaboratively with clients, service teams, and clinical supervisors to determine interventions. Communicate effectively with team members and providers. When authorizing services, articulate the expectations of the service. Establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships. When supervision is a program requirement, actively engage in the clinical supervision process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
