The room attendant is also known as housekeeper or maid and they perform vital roles for the successful operation of the hotel. They are responsible for cleaning and servicing guest rooms to provide a pleasant and comfortable experience for guests. They ensure all rooms are clean and they address guest’s queries politely and knowledgeably. The room attendant needs to change bed linens and make beds, replace used towels, and sweep and mop floors. The type of cleaning task they should perform includes vacuuming the floor and carpet, dusting the surface and items on the bedside table and desk, empty the garbage cans, clean the fridge, wipe down the mirror and windows, and clean the microwave and coffee maker. They are expected to check the inventory of items in a guest room and make they should fill them up for the guest when needed. They should be courteous and professional when in contact with the guests in the common room or elevator.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
