The payroll clerk is a professional who manages the compensation package using payroll software. They have to assist in all activities regarding managing employee compensation in the firm. The main aim is to carry out payroll procedures of employees in an organization with speed and accuracy. Payroll clerk job duties and responsibilities include verifying compensation-related information of all employees, calculating pay based on working hours, leave and overtime, calculating bonuses and commission, deal with complaints regarding payroll of employees and maintain records of payment. Apart from these duties, payroll clerk manages and calculate taxes and deduction, preparing and administering checks and direct deposits through bank payment, and investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payroll. To perform this job, the person must hold experience as a payroll clerk and should be familiar with general accounting principles. The clerk should be computer savvy and must have great knowledge of math and numerical skill. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
