Introduction:

Busboys assist other restaurant personnel by stocking groceries, assisting customers, cleaning and arranging tables, and washing dishes. They wash and reset tablecloths, and make sure flatware and dishes are available, all while working in a fast-paced kitchen setting. They are in charge of making sure that clients’ requirements are either satisfied or referred to the attention of administration and waitstaff in their capacity as customer service representatives. The majority of busboys labor in cafes, eateries, or catering businesses to reduce the workload of the waiting staff. Other responsibilities include welcoming guests, picking up dishes after they leave, dusting furniture, lights, and kitchen appliances, as well as wiping up spills, and sweeping the floors. The term “bussers” may also be used to refer to these entry-level employees.
