To increase business profitability, a business development officer is in charge of supervising the application of business development initiatives. In addition to managing a group of business growth and sales specialists, their responsibilities also include locating new prospects to pursue and developing business plans to back up their concepts. To reach and surpass revenue targets, the business officer’s primary objective is to locate prospects for business expansion and develop marketing strategies depending on those prospects. They are responsible for creating and managing all fundraising efforts, ensuring that all annual expansion plans are followed, achieving all development goals, and maintaining a strong network of community organizations to support all development strategies. To facilitate all fundraising activities, they should establish and implement an efficient recruitment program, examine all contractual methods, assist with the implementation of all fundraising regulations, and conduct routine studies on all public and non-profit institutions. Officers are responsible for generating their revenue as well as directing business development representatives. They are also responsible for creating plans that junior developers can use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
